|Smash Box Wonder Vision in Flash|
I pickup up the Smash Box Wonder Vision set in Flash while I was on holiday break so I’ve had two months to play with the products. As with any kit that has a few items, there are some good things and not so good things about these products.
The kit comes with six eye shadows, 2 shimmer (pink shell & slate), 2 matte (ballet pink & plum), and 2 glitters (taupe & purple shimmer), plus a black mascara and black eye liner. There is also a few flash cards with instructions on how to combine the eyes shadows for different eye looks. I love this as I’m always a bit dumbfounded as to where to place certain types of shadows.
The lighter two shadows (pink shell & ballet pink) are not very pigmented and slightly powdery. Taupe and purple shimmer have quite a bit of sparkle and I like patting these shadows on my lid. Slate and plumb have good pigmentation and can be used as liners.
|Full Exposure Mascara | Six eye shadows|
Also included is a waterproof black eye liner in Onyx which goes on smoothly and doesn’t smudge too badly on my eyes. I have oily skin so most eyeliners move around a bit even if they are long wearing. The Full Exposure mascara formula is good and although the brush is tapered at the end, I found the brush quite large and difficult to move around my eyes and get at the root of my lashes.
On a scale of 1 – 10 where 1 is poor and 10 is excellent, I give this set a 7. In general, I do like the kit and I’m happy with my purchase, but probably wouldn’t repurchase these items individually.
The Wonder Vision Eye Set can still be purchased at smashbox.com for $24.00. I purchased mine at ulta.com; however, it’s no longer available.
