Lilac blazer for spring

Even though my favorite wardrobe colors are white, gray and black I’m ready for the soft pastel colors of spring. I purchased the lilac blazer by Nanette Lepore at T.J. Maxx a few weeks ago and thought it would be a nice transitional piece for my work week wardrobe.

As a pear shaped gal, I find all types of pants (jeans, trousers, capris, etc.) to be a difficult fit, but the Apt 9 curvy fit trousers fit fairly well.  I believe that Kohl’s has upgraded the curvy fit trouser pants with belt loops so you can adjust the waist size as needed.  The pair I’m wearing doesn’t have belt loops and the pants tend to droop a bit.  Still these pants continue to look good even though they are two years old.

My black pumps are from the Payless Comfort Plus line and although these shoes are comfortable, the shoes don’t allow my feet to breath as they are a faux patent leather.  So I’m going to be on the lookout for a new leather pair of black pumps ~ stay tuned.

The black tote is from Tumi and I don’t find too many bloggers chatting about this brand.  Tumi is more of a luxury brand for travel items, but they do have a nice line of ladies handbags.
