I live in a neighborhood where there are some pretty steep hills to walk up, so one rather chilly and breezy weekend morning, I decided to go for a walk. Little did I know that the cold air would seep through my running shoes. I hurried through my walk (probably good for my heart rate!) and started my search for a better pair of winter walking shoes.
Running shoes usually have quite a bit of mesh on the side panels which are suppose to keep your feet cool while running. This material doesn’t work so well on cool, windy days. So while shopping at Clarks, I spotted the Wave Trek Lace-Up Fashion Sneaker.

These walking shoes are super comfortable as they have a curved rocker sole, which helps your foot move smoothly from heel to toe. Although the color looks gray in the photo’s the color of the shoes is described as “pale blue nubuck”.
The only odd thing about these shoes was the size. I am normally an 8.5M in dress shoes and 9M in athletic shoes. In these shoes, my size is an 8 wide.

The shoe’s sole has deep groves which provide excellent grip, no need to worry about slipping on a slick surface.

And the best part of these shoes is that they are water proof.
So these shoes may not be the most stylish shoes out there, but they are comfortable and a good weather proof shoe if you live in a damp and rainy location.
