SONOMA by Kohl’s relaxed fit boyfriend capri, dressing ’em down

I think I’m becoming obsessed with boyfriend capri jeans as I have two pairs and added a third pair this weekend.  Usually, boyfriend jeans are straight through hip and thigh and lately I’ve been finding “relaxed fit” boyfriend jeans which are wonderful for the pear shaped gal.

My goal this weekend was to buy a maxi dress and although I spent a good deal of time looking, nothing said “buy me”.  Heck, there wasn’t even a “try me on” dress.  So while at Kohl’s looking for a maxi dress, I spotted a pair of Sonoma relaxed fit boyfriend capris.  The capris are a good fit and I love how the jeans have a little worn spot on the right thigh.  The jeans are regularly $36, and I paid $21.60 (yeah! I love a sale).

For this dressed down look, I added a colorful tank top and sweater from Anthropology that I bought on sale at the end of last summer.   I also picked up two pairs of shoes from Payless.  The shoes I’m wearing are by Brash, Royalty in tan.

A couple of things I’d like to point out about these sandals:

1. Love the studs and the sandals are very comfortable
2. Ultra cheaply made, super thin sole, probably will only last this summer
3. Purchased on sale for $16.99, regularly $26.99 (I’d never pay $27, yikes Payless is dreaming!)

I also purchased a cute pair of pink/peach wedges which I’ll show in my next post when I ‘dress up’ these capris.

If the photo’s look a bit odd, I used the self timer on the camera.  My camera man (spouse) is traveling and it’s either odd photo’s or no blog post 😉  So odd photo’s it is.

Linking up with Ms. Patti over at Not Dead Yet Style this week.

Cheers, Monica
