Vintage inspired shoes

At DSW this weekend, I walked up and down the isles looking for a pair of pink pumps.  I’m not sure what’s wrong with my feet these days, but there is no jamming my foot into a pump of any kind.  For some reason, shoe labels are making the toe box really small and if I go to the next size up, my heel flips out of the shoe.  My Madden Girl Getta Beige Patent Pumps that I discussed here fit well, and I could buy another pair of Madden Girl shoes, but I want more variety in my shoes. I would like to branch out and purchase different shoes from different brands.

I was about to give up when I saw an adorable pair of laced shoes by Crown Vintage.  When I sat down to try the shoes on, a DSW sales associate said that she loved these shoes and that customers mentioned that the shoes are comfortable.  I told her that I can’t get my foot into pumps and she said that the pointy toe shoe was making a come back this spring.  Great. I’m not going to be doing much shoe shopping, I see.

Anyway, these little lovelies are so cute and fit so well that I certainly made a bee line for the register .. and now they are mine.

I love the grosgrain ribbon laces and the side cut out accents.

I also love that these shoes have a vintage look and feel.  I’m not into vintage style clothing, but the more I read Joanna’s Dividing Vintage Moment’s blog .. the more I want to add vintage pieces to my modern wardrobe.

Do you mix vintage clothing, shoes, jewelery with your every day outfits?

Cheers,
