Hard to say as it really depends on the subject and viewers interest in the content.

Well, I like the Byzantine era to Impressionism – quite a span of time eh?

If I had to pick, I’d say the Renaissance is my favorite time period in art history. I am fascinated by the fact that they really had to mix and create their own paints and pigments. Working with fresco was incredibly difficult and there is so much religious symbolism hiding in these paintings. I love Sandro Boticelli (Birth of Venus) or Raphael (Little Angels).

If I’m in a country where there is a museum, I’m there. I had a bushiness trip to Amsterdam and visited the Rijksmuseum so I could see Vermeer’s work (Girl with a Pearl Earing is not at this museum) and of course, got to see the Van Gogh museum.

So I guess I really like old world art .. modern art is rather lost on me.

We use to go to Hawaii every year, but now that we have the 2nd house, it’s a little more difficult to find the time + cost.

We love Oahu which is more city like. We’ve also been to Maui which is more quiet, resort like.
